"The Wharf House has the best views in Provincetown, no question."
There’s no place like it.
The best thing about the Wharf House (the Flag House) is that at high tide, the house and its huge deck are not only surrounded on three sides by water but the water also swooshes underneath the house. As Mary Oliver wrote, "eventually tides will be the only calendar you believe in."
Windows surround the first and second floors so that you're never separated from the outdoors and the spectacular views of Long Point, the lighthouse, the Coast Guard pier, and the harbor.
The 2018 renovation included new floors, new paint, new kitchen, and new bathrooms upstairs and down. The cottage walls are filled with the work of local artists.
You can practically roll out of bed and land at the Relish bakery/café. To get into town, it's a delightful 15-minute walk. The Wharf House is vintage Provincetown with the added bonus of parking for 2 cars.

The pictures are completely accurate. The Wharf House was perfectly prepared for our visit, with everything in place on could hope for. Even when I failed to read instructions carefully, the owner was patient and kind in her replies to my questions about how various things worked. From the fireplace to the firepit, from the 3-sided water views in the bedroom to the lovely soaking tub, this house is a gem for a cozy stay any time of year. We loved spending new year's week in such a beautiful home with easy walking access to the shops, a convenient parking spot, and an awesome deck (even in December - the firepit and many blankets make anything possible).
Superb Stay

Our experience in Cynthia’s iconic wharf was every bit as wonderful as we imagined. Cynthia was easily accessible and immediately responsive throughout our stay. Check in and out were a breeze. The house itself is in immaculate condition and with fantastic, up-to-date amenities (not to mention parking in an area where parking is a premium). There is no better place to be in PTown (which is saying a lot). We can’t recommend this property highly enough. Genuine and profound thank yous to Cynthia for a memorable stay. We’ll be back!

We have rented in Ptown many times after selling our home there. The Wharf House was truly outstanding. You get the feeling you are on a boat! The house is very cozy and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Location is great on Commercial St. but in the quieter West End. Cynthia ( the owner) was on top of everything before we arrived and made us feel very welcome. We were told this is the most photographed house in Ptown and I believe it after seeing nearly everyone who walked by stop and take a picture of it. We will certainly rent this home again!
Wonderful place to stay!

I love the Wharf House. It is bright and airy and right on the bay. It's close to the action, but also quiet which is perfect for visiting Ptown. The bedroom is very spacious with a desk if you have to work at least you can see the water, and the soaking tub is wonderful!
Cynthia is a great host and very responsive to all of your needs!
Would highly recommend.
A P'town landmark!

This is one of the most photographed homes in P'town ... and for great reason. It's adorable, stylish and right on the water! We loved our week at the Wharf House ... everything was exactly as promised ... perfect home for a couple (it is only one bedroom, after all) ... the deck alone, would be enough to get most folks to rent. The kitchen and baths have been redone and are outfitted with all of the latest stylish appliances, etc. Basically this house is a 9+! (The only slight caveat, is that the home is located mere feet away from a beach club where kids are taking sailing lessons. They arrive at 8:30 and stay until around 3:00 ... are really very well behaved and having a great deal of fun in the water, as they should!, but they do make a bit of noise. If you are hoping for tranquility during those hours, this home may not be a good fit for you.)
Amazing

Went to Ptown for our 25th anniversary. Chose this rental. We are fortunate to be able to stay in high end places but this was the best. The house is perfect. Set up like a home, instant comfort. Easy walk to everywhere. Looking forward to staying there again in the near future.
